City Says No to R-2 Request

During its October meeting, the Blanco City Council voted unanimously to deny a rezoning request by developer Jim Cook for property on Trainer Street. Cook’s request for an R-2 designation on the seven-acre tract would have allowed him to build about 26 homes on 7,500-square-foot lots. A recommendation to rezone the property had been denied by the planning and zoning commission in a divided vote.
