Budget, Tax Rate Focus of Monday Meeting
The Blanco Independent School District Board of Education is expected to present and pass the same tax levy as it did a year ago. The school board has called a special meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, in the high school library to discuss the 2016-17 proposed budget and tax rate. The district’s overall tax rate is $1.1962 for every $100 of assessed valuation, or just under $1.20.
