Stonewall, Texas– Kuhlman Cellars is launching an Almond Club to celebrate their famous herbed almonds. The highly aromatic almonds are seasoned with Herbs de'Provence from Provence, France and, until now, have only been available for purchase exclusively from the vineyard and are often part of estate tastings.
Almond Club members will receive two 7-oz bags of almonds every other month. Shipments will be sent out in February, April, June, August, October, and December. The price is $34 per shipment (including shipping). Existing Vina Vita wine club members enjoy a discounted subscription of just $31. The first shipment will be sent out in August. Join the Almond Club here. For more information, visit kuhlmancellars.com.
The story of the almonds began years ago, before the vineyard opened to the public. Kuhlman Cellars co-owners Chris and Jennifer Cobb travelled to Aix en Provence to see Kuhlman Cellars winemaker Bénédicte Rhyne’s home town. During their journey, they stopped at a local market and bought some Herbs de'Provence from the spice merchant. “The beautiful aromatics, flavors, and seasonings were nearly intoxicating, but the Herbs de'Provence were particularly appealing since they are local to Aix en Provence,” enthuses Jennifer Cobb. “What else do you do, other than buy Herbs de'Provence when in Provence?”
From there, the Herbed Almonds were born. The almonds pair beautifully with an acidic dry white wine or similar rosé, or with a soft, lower tannin red wine, such as Kuhlman Cellars’ Alluvé.
About Kuhlman Cellars
