You don’t want to miss WOW! The Women of the Word – WOW - will be holding their annual luncheon at the Church at Horseshoe Bay on Tuesday, April 12. Lauren Sorell, featured guest speaker, will be speaking on the topic of “A Ladybug Can Heal a Heart.” She will be sharing her life experiences of how God has filled her life with grief and comfort, failures and forgiveness, and trials and grace. She wants to communicate how God has proved His love to her even though she is a flawed and imperfect believer.

Lauren earned her BS and Master’s degrees from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University). She is a certified Real Estate Appraiser and has been a small business owner for 15 years. Her passion is for cooking/feeding the homeless at the community center in San Marcos, as well as devoting time to the college students via her church. She considers these her current mission fields.

Lauren Sorell is the daughter of Larry and Ann Higdon of Horseshoe Bay.

Tickets for the luncheon may be purchased by calling the office at the Church at Horseshoe Bay, 830-598-8390. They may also be purchased in the Narthex at the church on Sunday mornings. The price of tickets is $25.00. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, April 12, starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
