The Llano Chamber would like to recognize two organizations that have worked tirelessly over the past few months to bring excitement to Llano. First, the Llano Earth Art Fest committee that worked in the rain, cold, wind, in the mud, on slick rocks and in the weeds to bring a world class event to Llano. If you were on Bessemer or Ford Street Saturday and Sunday you will know, there were thousands of people in town to celebrate one of the most unusual festivals in Texas. Job well done by everyone involved.

The other has been out of the limelight but the work has been equally as tiring. The Llano Alliance for Drug Intervention has spent the past month and a half doing concessions at the JLK Arena raising money for the new disc golf course being constructed at Badu Park. They also brought in the course’s designer, John Houck, on Saturday for a Professional Disc Golf Tournament and over 70 professionals to the sport. Not only was LADI at the arena, they were also serving concessions at the golf course during the tournament, hard work for the city of Llano. Kudos y’all!

We have lots going on this week with our Chamber members. On Thursday, A-1 Tire and Service will celebrate 10 years in business from 2-6, At Nana’s Bed and Breakfast will hold a ribbon cutting at 5:30 on Thursday. On Sunday, the Women’s Culture Club will hold its annual luncheon at the Methodist Church. Our monthly mixer is at Tommy’s Pizza on Tuesday, 5:30-7:00pm. Go to the Chamber website for all information,

Beginning next week, I will go over the state’s regulations and rules for spending of hotel/motel tax.

Working together, we can make Llano the Best...Briley.
