The Johnson City Eagles traveled to Comfort Thursday night and competed against much larger schools and showed that they can run, jump and throw with anyone.
The Varsity Boys finished 5th out of ten teams. The JV Team also finished 5th.
Winning individual medals were Blake Caulkins 3rd in the 100 meter dash. Erik Fruin finished 5th in the 100 meters. Aiden Berry finished 4th in the 200 meters. Morgan Lindsey finished 3rd in the 400 meters.
The Eagles did a great job in the field events with Ayden Hubenak winning the Pole Vault. Sylvester Quinonez finished 3rd in the Triple Jump. The Eagles did well in the High Jump with Aiden Berry winning gold and Preston Fiedler taking 5th Place.
The Eagle relay teams ran well, placing in all three relays. The 4X100, made up of Fruin, Dowmey, Berry and Caulkins placed 4th. The 4X200 made up of Quinonez, Lindsey, Turner and Caulkins placed 6th. The Mile Relay consisting of Lindsey, Quinonez, Turner and Berry Placed 6th.
The Eagles will take the week off and run in Harper on the 17th of March.
