Boerne Performing Arts Annnounces Fifth Anniversary Season
Mon, May 4, 2015 6:09 PM

The Show must go on...and on it goes into the fifth season of Boerne Performing Arts. During the past four seasons, all roads have led to Boerne featuring world-renowned artists from Australia, Canada, Israel, China, Japan, Ireland, and the USA. Season Number Five will be no exception!

Boerne Performing Arts will kick off their 2016 season in "red carpet" style! The Hollywood Concert Orchestra will perform "A Night at the Oscars" on Saturday, February 6. This evening will feature a lively and entertaining performance focusing on the music that "made" the movies.

Back in Boerne by popular demand, TAO will return to the Boerne Champion Stage with their exciting new show, "Seventeen Samurai." "Since their Boerne debut in 2012, there have been more requests to bring back this troupe than any other artists," states Greg Talford, Artistic Chair. Talford continues, "The explosive Taiko drumming and innovative choreography, combined with contemporary costumes and athleticism, will surely set the stage on fire once more!" Showtime for this event will be on Thursday, February 25.

By far, the largest undertaking by Boerne Performing Arts will take place on Friday, April 8, when the full company of the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players rolls into town with vocal soloists, full chorus, sets and costumes, and a pit orchestra! The band of swashbuckling buccaneers, bumbling British bobbies and frolicsome Victorian maidens will steal your heart away as they take the stage for their production of "Pirates of Penzance."

Check it out now!
