The Court Jesters
Tue, May 5, 2015 3:39 PM

A popular Texas Hill Country concert series begins May 9 with the horn-driven rock and R&B music of The Court Jesters at this year's first family-friendly Moondance Concert Series performance at the Cibolo Nature Center & Farm.

The Boerne nature center's long-running concert series, inspired by the classic song "Moondance" by Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, will take place under the oak trees at the nonprofit center's outdoor theater each month through September. Each band will perform its own version of Van Morrison's "Moondance."

The Court Jesters are San Antonio lawyers by day and members of a10-piece band by night renowned across Texas for the infectious fun they bring to their classic rock and rhythm & blues performances.

The Moondance Concert Series invites guests to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and food and drink for the evening performances. Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome. The Latin Fusion food truck will also be on site.

Gates open at 7 p.m. The concert is 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Adult tickets are just $10, $7.50 for nature center members and $5 for ages 65 and up. Kids under 12 are free. Purchase single or season pass tickets in advance at the nature center gift shop or by visiting the event page at www.cibolo.org/calendar. Ruben V performs June 6. The Lost Mule Band entertains Aug. 1. La Tampiquena plays Aug. 29. One Minute to Midnight performs Sept. 26.

The nonprofit Cibolo Nature Center & Farm (www.cibolo.org) is preserving 160 acres of wild lands and wildlife habitats through land stewardship and education.
